Hiroshima University Offers "Radiation Protection Fundamental Information Portal Site" in Three Languages

Hiroshima University has opened the English and Chinese sites of the "Radiation Protection Fundamental Information Portal Site". The purpose of the site is to provide accurate information and ensure correct understanding by people in and outside of Japan.

This portal site is to disseminate basic information on radiology and radiation emergency medicine to the general public. Hiroshima University Research Institute for Radiation Biology and Medicine has a long history of radiation medicine, and supervises the portal site. The site uses the free cloud service being offered by Japan IBM to support disaster relief.

Contents: Same information in all the three languages.

- Fundamental information on radiation

Physical damage when exposed to radiation, Q&A on radiation exposure, etc.

- Fundamental information on radiation emergency medicine

Radioactivity measurement inspection, dosing of stabilized iodine tablets, etc.
